Trying out gouache for the first time. I think I may have found my new painting medium. I really like how fast it lets you work. It helps give it a certain dynamic quality I have trouble achieving with oil. I did this in about 45 minutes or so. Image based on a Gil Elvgren painting.

Guache is tough, but fun when you get the hang of it. Hang in there Jason! It's really good for doing quick color studies.
I agree with what you said about the speed of working with it, but it doesn't seem difficult to me to use at all, though what has been difficult is what I've started doing, diluting gouache with Coca-Cola instead of water (you can see an example at http://www.artbreak.com/work/show/2995).
