Jessie @ Threadless
Jessie @ Threadless, a photo by Manly Art on Flickr.
Hey Folks, it's the last day of voting for the Toy Story competition at Threadless. My Jessie design is doing well, but it could definitely use a push. So please pop over and vote! It would really help me out!

Candy Corn Witch

Candy Corn Witch
Candy Corn Witch, a photo by Manly Art on Flickr.
I have a new design up for voting at Threadless. It's the Candy Corn Witch! She's sweet and leaves a trail of candy corns in her wake. It's a fun pin-up witch with a definite nod to the wonderful art of Dan DeCarlo.

If you like it, please help me out and go give it 5 stars here: www.threadless.com/submission/457905/Candy_Corn_Witch or use the little Threadless doohickey on the right sidebar.

Kaylee Pin-Up
Kaylee Pin-Up, a photo by Manly Art on Flickr.
This is my pin-up of Kaylee from Firefly. I did it like the old garage pin-up girls. The calendar is actually how the days will fall in February 2517.

Available as a print HERE.

I will also have these with me at the Sci-Fi Expo this weekend in Irving, TX. Jewel Staite will be there, so pick one up and get her to sign it!

Probably NSFW: Full image after the break.

Metropolitan Police: Space Division

This was a (long overdue) commission for a fellow in Chicago. He wanted a sexy, but serious futuristic police woman. So, this is what I came up with. Hope you like it!

Con Commissions...

Cheetara Pin-Up
Cheetara Pin-Up, a photo by Manly Art on Flickr.
Here are a couple of commissions from a recent convention. The first one is a pin-up of Cheetara from the Thundercats. The second is a scenario where Magneto uses his powers on Leia's slave girl metal bikini. Mildly NSFW, so it's after the jump...

Another ink test. I'm really liking the results I'm getting. This might just be something I'll stick with.

6"x12" Ink on watercolor paper.

Miss February 1958- Cheryl Kubert

Miss February 1958- Cheryl Kubert
Playing around with some different techniques. This all brush and ink. I've been giving Dr. Martins inks a spin and I'm pretty happy with the results.

Always ready to decompose for the camera and ever stunning as she shambled down the runway, Eva was a beauty queen of the undead.

Jinkies!

Jinkies!, originally uploaded by Manly Art.
Velma's trying to do a little light reading by candlelight in a haunted mansion and that pesky Casper just won't leave her alone! What's a girl to do?

I'll these and my Batgirl prints with me at the Dallas Comic-Con this weekend. If you're in the DFW area, come by and say "Hi". I'm at table 209.

Available as a print here.

Occupational Hazard

Occupational Hazard, originally uploaded by Manly Art.
This is a homage to my favorite era of pin-up art. In particular to Gil Elvgren, in my humble opinion, the greatest pin-up artist of all time. I wish I was in his league as a painter, but I feel I at least got in the parking lot of the ballpark with this one.

15"x20" Acrylic on illustration board.

Available as a print here.
