Hell's Angel

I thought it would be fun to do a pin-up version of the Hell's Angel emblem that appeared on many of the Flying Tigers stationed in China early in WWII. There were quite a few variations, but mine pretty closely resembles this one.

Memory Lane...

I had a family reunion this weekend out near Abilene,TX this weekend. It was a great opportunity to walk down memory lane and show my fiancé Lisa where I spent a good chunk of my early life.

I was pleasantly surprised to see this theater was still in business. This was where I saw Star Wars when I was a kid and a ton of other movies. It hasn't changed a bit. (on the outside, at least)

So many of the places I remember fondly from when I was a kid in Abilene have gone the way of the dodo. Jack 'n' Jill Donuts is one that has survived. Excellent donuts, and I've always love the logo.

My cousin and her husband train hunting dogs out in West Texas. One of the important things they do is train them to steer clear of rattle snakes. To do so, they have to keep a few snakes on hand.

This is Lisa holding a 4 week old puppy at my cousins place. As you can see, she's about to explode from the cuteness.

David Lo Pan is back with two wives and a monkey monster to chauffeur his heavenly hotrod through the hell of the too-cool-to-stay-dead sinners. Lo Pan's not such a bad guy... he wants what every red-blooded man wants... to go off and rule the universe from beyond the grave.

The Chinese characters say "Lo Pan Express".

This piece is printed in stunning archival ULTRAchrome inks on velvet fine art paper. It's really beautiful. The greens and oranges came out almost florescent.

I'll be hanging a new show in Amy's Ice Cream at 6th & Lamar in Austin, TX. The show runs the entire month of July.

This is some fan art I did for Girls With Slingshots. It's a great webcomic done by the talented Danielle Corsetto. This is one the main characters, Jamie McJack. The strip has nothing to do with outer space. I just thought it would be fun to do a space pin-up.
